Option 1 was founded by Frazer Rogers and Dylan Isaacs on a simple belief: the best way to understand the potential in a piece of land is to understand what it really takes to build on it.
Frazer came through carpentry and Dylan from bricklaying into site management. Alongside Chartered Quantity Surveyor Ben White, that hands on experience means they don't just see a plot or a planning application. They see what could actually be created there.
And it's personal. Every landowner has different reasons and priorities, so before talking about plans, we listen.
Frazer trained as a carpenter and was on site straight from school. He then spent years inside the supply chain of the big UK developers, including a timber frame factory, learning exactly how they operate and where landowners get undercut.
He went on to develop property himself, completing two houses with his parents before spotting something much bigger. He founded Option 1 with Dylan so landowners could finally get the real value of their land.
Dylan came up through a bricklaying apprenticeship with one of the largest housebuilders in the UK. He has spent over a decade running large scale housing developments as a site manager, reading drawings, managing trades and making sure everything is built to regulations and standards.
He went on to develop property himself through the auction market, buying, doing up and selling before founding Option 1 with Frazer. Because he has done the work himself, he knows when a job is right and when it is not.
Ben is the numbers man. As a Chartered Quantity Surveyor who has worked with some of the big housing associations, he keeps the costings on every project tight and accurate.
His job is to make sure the figures are right, the build costs stay where they should, and the landowner gets as much out of it as possible.
